Captain Eady's Lookout

The house is set in a quiet and peaceful location, with a secluded and romantic garden featuring roses, rhododendrons, and New Zealand native plants. The Harbour side is just below the house, and at low tide Pudding Island is reachable by walking across the beach. Only a few minutes walk away is Portobello village with cafe, craft gallery, museum, store and the old ferry wharf. A little further afield are the Marine Studies Centre Aquarium, Royal Albatross Colony, Larnach Castle, and ocean beaches deserted save for yellow eyed penguins and seals.
