The Oroville area is well know for its water recreation. We have the beautiful Feather River and Oroville Lake. Oroville Lake has one of the worlds largest earth filled dams. Tours of the dam can be made by appointment. Oroville Lake also has some of the best fishing in the state of California. There are at least 2 pro tournaments a year at the lake. The Oroville area is rich in history. The California gold rush started at Sutters Fort in Sacramento and worked its way to Oroville.
