Gastehaus Hunziker

Opened in May 2015, this guest house is located in the northern part of Zurich, a 5-minute walk from the fairgrounds and the indoor stadium. Each room at the Gästehaus Hunziker features free WiFi access, wooden floors, and a private bathroom. From Monday to Friday, breakfast is served in the Restaurant Riedbach on the ground floor. At weekends, breakfast is served at the Restaurant Bagel Boys next door. Rainwater is collected and used for flushing the toilets. Heat pumps use waste heat from a nearby data processing center for heating and warm water. The solar panels on the roof cover around 40% of the guest house's electricity use. Energy-efficient LED lighting is used as well.
