The hotel is located just a 30-minute drive from the capital city of St John's, on the north-eastern point of Antigua on the sandy, secluded Honeymoon Beach in a designated National Park in the Long Bay area. The park features Devil's Bridge, a natural geological arch carved by the sea from the years of Atlantic breakers eroding the limestone ledges. The area was officially made a national park in the 1950s. The international airport is only a 30-minute drive away. The hotel features 200 accommodation units. Guests of the hotel are welcomed in the lobby, which has a 24-hour reception and a 24-hour check-out service. Amenities include a safe and currency exchange facilities. Internet access and wireless internet access (no extra charge) are available in the public areas. Gastronomic options offered by the hotel include a restaurant, a dining area, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. Shopping facilities are available. Children can have fun playing in the garden. A playroom is also among the amenities at the hotel. Additional services include medical assistance, a laundry and a hairdressing salon. All major credit cards, including American Express, VISA, Diners Club and MasterCard, are accepted for payment. **** IMPORTANT NOTE **** The Verandah Resort & Spa All Inclusive will temporarily close September 27, 2018 to October 25, 2018 to carry out upgrades to its existing power and electrical systems, and related infrastructural work. This closure period is the only time that the necessary electrical contractors from the United State are available to assist with this project in Antigua. The need to carry out these works was unforeseen and unfortunately, the scope of the works will result in the power being shut down for an extended period, followed by a further period of power disruptions. Since the upcoming power and infrastructural works would be very disruptive to in-house guests, the resort has no alternative but to temporarily close while the works are in progress. All systems will be fully operational upon reopening. The resort will reopen for arrivals on October 26, 2018. The Verandah Resort and Spa is a Tourist hotel.
