William Cecil

Originally three separate 18th-century houses the William Cecil reflects the history of the picturesque town of Stamford and the extensive Burghley Estate that surrounds it. Indeed it is the first Lord Burghley who lends his name to the hotel. Historic charm has been retained inside and out in the Lincolnshire limestone and the original Tudor Revival facade of the one of the houses. The interior decor and furnishings take inspiration from Burghley House a stunning Elizabethan house that many regarded as the finest in England. This extends to the bedrooms which are uniquely decorated with original features ornate dark wood furniture sumptuous fabrics and contemporary touches. En-suite bathrooms come as standard featuring luxury toiletries and power showers. Rooms also offer televisions free wireless internet ironing facilities and tea and coffee-making equipment. The hotel has a civil ceremony licence and can host up to 100 guests at a wedding. Photographers can make use of the gardens Tudor Revival facade and ornate staircase for perfect wedding pictures.
